Why Should You Attend:

Energy & Utilities need to deal with a variety of risks including damages to energy infrastructure from natural disasters, trading losses, ageing infrastructure, environmental and emission issues, high cost-to-capital, increasing number of compliance regulations, legal cases and multi-million-dollar settlements and fines, and innovating and adapting to technological advances.

Traditional risk management approaches have served the industry well in the past however, the scope, complexity, and interdependencies of emerging risks such as ever-increasing compliance requirements and IT risks are leading many energy & utility companies to adopt a more comprehensive and integrated approach.

Enterprise-wide risk management programs, along with robust risk management frameworks and capabilities can bring focus to effective risk treatments and enable an embedded risk-management culture, raising the overall level of risk intelligence and awareness across the organization.

Join this session to learn about:

  • The definition, role and impact of risk culture in the implementation of Enterprise Risk Management
  • Fostering a culture which promotes ownership and accountability for risk management across the business
  • Proactive steps for building an effective risk culture
  • Defining and Applying Key Risk Indicators
  • Influencing risk culture through access to risk information
