This comprehensive interactive training workshop will help clarify California specific leaves, how they interact with the Federal medical leaves and how to apply leaves accurately and consistently. The first day will focus specifically on the latter while a full ½ day will be focused on how to handle performance management issues when managing employees on Intermittent or Ongoing Medical Leaves.

Cancellations and substitutions:

Jack London Square
Jack London Square is a popular entertainment and business destination on the waterfront of Oakland, California. Named after the author Jack London and owned by the Port of Oakland, it is the home of stores, restaurants, hotels, an Amtrak station, a San Francisco Bay Ferry ferry dock, the historic Heinold’s First and Last Chance Saloon, the (re-located) cabin Jack London lived in the Klondike, and a movie theater.
Lake Merritt Park

Robert Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve
Volcanic debris has formed vast mountains in this Oakland park, which covers 660 acres in the Oakland Hills. One of the most famous peaks is Round Top, which is made up of lava and other materials from a volcano said to be 10 million years old.
The Paramount Theatre is a 3,040 seat Art Deco movie theater located at 2025 Broadway in downtown Oakland, California, USA. When it was built in 1931, it was the largest multi-purpose theater on the West Coast, seating 3476. Today, the Paramount is the home of the Oakland East Bay Symphony and the Oakland Ballet, it regularly plays host to R&B, jazz, blues, pop, rock, gospel, classical music, as well as ballets, plays, stand-up comedy, lecture series, special events, and screenings of classic movies from Hollywood's Golden Era.

Old Sacramento State Historic Park
Old Sacramento State Historic Park is located within the Old Sacramento Historic District of Sacramento, California. It is generally referred to as Old Sacramento, or Old Sac, and since the 1960s has been restored and developed as a significant tourist attraction. This unique 28-acre park is located along the beautiful Sacramento River. Bustling with activity, the district is alive with shopping, dining, entertainment, historical attractions and world-renowned museums set within the time of the California Gold Rush and the Transcontinental Railroad. California State Capitol
The California State Capitol is home to the government of California. The building is based on the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. It houses the bicameral state legislature and the office of the governor. Located in Sacramento, the Neoclassical structure was completed between 1861 and 1874 at the west end of Capitol Park. The Capitol and its grounds were listed as a California Historical Landmark in 1974, with a re-dedication on January 9, 1982 to commemorate the close of the bicentennial restoration project.
Folsom Lake is a reservoir in Northern California about 25 miles northeast of Sacramento in Placer, El Dorado. The lake is formed by Folsom Dam, constructed in 1955 to control the American River. The dam and lake are part of the Folsom Project, which also includes the Nimbus afterbay reservoir and dam facilities. The Folsom Project, operated by the United States Bureau of Reclamation, is part of the Central Valley Project, a multipurpose project that provides flood control, hydroelectricity, drinking water and water for irrigation. The Folsom Lake State Recreation Area is managed by the California Department of Parks and Recreation.
The Crest Theatre is an historic theatre located in downtown Sacramento, California. It originally opened in 1912 as the Empress Theatre. In 1949, the building was completely remodeled and revamped to its current form as the Crest Theatre. During the 1950s and 1960s, it was one of the premier first-run movie palaces in the Sacramento area. Towards the end of 1995, the Crest was completely refurbished and today its main auditorium (which has been left in its post-1946 unaltered state) is a multi-purpose theatre showing classic revival and specialty films, occasional live shows and lectures. Two additional cinemas were built adjacent to the original site around the time of the remodeling.
The California Museum
The California Museum is housed in the State Archives Building in Sacramento, one block from the State Capitol. The building has more than 20,000 square feet of exhibit space, and facilities for lectures, performances, receptions and events. Some of their popular exhibits include California Indians: Making A Difference, California's Remarkable Women, Uprooted: The Japanese American Experience during World War II, Riding Concrete: Skateboarding In California, and California Innovates: The Computer Chip.
Sleep Train Arena
Sleep Train Arena (originally ARCO Arena, later Power Balance Pavilion) is an indoor arena, located in Sacramento, California. Opened in 1988, it is the home of the National Basketball Association's Sacramento Kings. The arena is named after The Sleep Train, a chain of mattress and bed retailers based in Rocklin, California. Sleep Train Arena hosts nearly 200 spectator events each year. The current configuration seats up to 17,317 and can host such varied events as concerts, ice shows, rodeos and monster truck rallies. Nearly two million spectators from throughout Northern California visited Sleep Train Arena last year.
