Step 2 -"Insure" documentation of an Emergency Response Plan - ERP, outlining roles and responsibilities, notification and communications, evacuation plans and returning to normal operations. Step 3 - "Improve" through training, monitoring and testing. Emergency Preparedness is one of the key clauses of an Environmental Management System to ISO 14001, it is also a key to insuring the safety of workers, responders and the public.
