The Site Security Survey Process: Assessing Your Facility Without Needing a Security Consultant
This OSHA compliance training will provide you simple but powerful tools on how to conduct a safety and security assessment of your facility without hiring security consultant. Learn the best practices to ensure safety and security of your employees.
Why Should You Attend:
Assessing a workplace facility for security vulnerabilities often comes after an internal incident, a civil suit, or because a nationally-televised event has reminded the business owners, operators, and employees about their need to feel safer at work. In other words, site security surveys are often event-driven. It’s not always necessary to hire a security consultant for the assessment process, if you use the experience and talents of your company’s stakeholders.
This webinar session provides detailed information on how to conduct a safety and security assessment of your facility, using security questions, best-practices checklists, and a review of the policies, procedures, and activities related to security, evacuation, and emergency responses.

Dr. Steve Albrecht, PHR, CPP, BCC, is a San Diego-based threat assessment and security expert. Mr. Albrecht is nationally known for his speaking, writing, and training in workplace violence prevention, high-risk HR issues, and site security. He is board certified in HR, security management, and employee coaching. He has written 17 books on business and criminal justice topics, including Ticking Bombs, which was one of the first business books on violence in the workplace. He worked for the San Diego Police Department for 15 years.
In the years since 9-11, the subject of facility security has become increasingly more important for legal reasons, due diligence, OSHA expectations related to duty of care, and for employee morale. Employees expect to be well-protected at their facilities, from trespassers, disgruntled ex-employees, domestic violence crossing over from home to work, angry customers, or others who want to harm them or disrupt the business.
This session can help you move from the assessment phase, to the reporting phase, to the stakeholder meetings, to the implementation process, all under the umbrella of maximizing employee safety and security, while keeping the company culture intact.
