This Regulated compliance training will provide detailed guidance in the development of policies and procedures that are both effective and user-friendly for people with limited writing experience.

Organizations are increasingly faced with the reality that their industry is being subject to some form of regulation. This regulation may be the result of legal requirements, such Sarbanes-Oxley, FDA regulations, etc.

Competitors are adopting voluntary controls, such as ISO 9001 and 14001, to meet customer requirements or realize business improvements. This presentation will provide detailed guidance in the development of policies and procedures that are both effective and user-friendly for people with limited writing experience.

Specifics such as format, language, use of navigational tools, interlinking of information will be discussed and the use of both effective and poor examples are used to ensure a clear understanding of each subject is achieved.

Areas Covered in the seminar:

  • Policies, procedures, work instructions - what’s the difference and how are they used?
  • Meeting requirements or making them easy to use and understand - can both goals be realized?
  • Watch your language!
  • Ensuring your format helps user understanding
  • Paragraphs of text or tables?
  • Critical components of procedures and work instructions
  • Important elements of and work instructions
  • Simplified delivery using Microsoft Word and the internet
