ISO 14001 is the world's best-known environmental management system standard, and it provides a systematic framework to help organizations protect the environment through balanced socio-economic means. This training program in the two-part series will offer an advanced overview of ISO 14001:2015 and what the updates mean for your business.

Why Should You Attend:

Does your site currently have the ISO 14001 certification? Or, are you thinking of getting your facility ISO 14001 certified? If the answer to either of these questions is a yes, you will not want to miss out on this webinar discussing the new ISO 14001:2015 requirements.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published the revised ISO 14001:2015 environmental management systems (EMS) standard on September 15, 2015, replacing the 2004 version. Organizations that are currently registered to ISO 14001:2004 will have until September 2018 to transition to the 2015 standard.

The structure of ISO 14001:2015 follows the high level structure being applied to all new and revised ISO management system standards:

  • Scope
  • Normative References
  • Terms and Definitions
  • Context of the Organization
  • Leadership
  • Planning
  • Support
  • Operation
  • Performance Evaluation
  • Improvement

This revision includes significant changes, most of which are real improvements, helping users derive more value from their EMS. Organizations without a formal environmental (or EHS) management system should consider it now, with the new ISO 14001 as a model.
