This environmental training will present a macro overview of the apparent 180 degree turn between the current and past administration on environmental issues, and related topics.

Why should you Attend:
During the past eight years, many regulations and enforcement schemes under the clean air and clean water act were suspended or reversed, the current administration is in the process of revert some of them back to their prior status of 2000 or to a completely new approach. There is increasing pressure for industries to control and reduce their CO2 emissions and increase their energy efficiency.

This webinar presents a macro overview of the changing regulatory framework; it will point to the hot topics and present the opportunities already in place, mostly through tax incentives under ARRA 2009. Participants will be able to identify key variables to use for their short-term decision-making, in the context of the changes that are shaping-up at macro level.

Areas Covered in the seminar:

  • Overview of the clean air and the clean water acts. Origins, goals and changes.
  • Clean production initiatives.
  • ARRA 2009 incentives.
  • Emissions Cap and Trade. What is? The right instrument or just one possible instrument?
