Why Should You Attend:

Juries favor compensating whistleblowers. With government personnel resources being limited, the government is very strict with companies involved in fraudulent activities. But companies often face false whistleblower claims even when they aren’t doing something illegal.

In essence, it really doesn’t matter if an organization is doing everything right – it is the perception that counts. What the employee believed and how you respond can make all the difference in whether you can overcome a whistleblower claim. A strong whistleblower case typically will command a multi-million dollar jury verdict.

This webinar will focus on how to handle whistleblower claims and avoid litigation issues.

Areas Covered in the Webinar:

  • Understanding the whistleblower
  • What is protected activity?
  • Types of claims whistleblowers may bring
  • Establishing and managing internal investigations and compliance
  • Mastering whistleblowing developments
  • Handling the government investigation
  • Handling the employee who “complains” to avoid termination decisions

Who Will Benefit:

  • Labor & employment law in-house counsel
  • Human resource managers
  • Risk managers
  • Attorney
  • Ethics officers
  • Business owners
