Why Should You Attend:

In a post-recessionary and highly regulated business environment, it has become critical for Banks and Financial Services Institutions (BFSI) to efficiently control loss events. Regulations such as Basel III have added further impetus by laying out specific requirements for loss absorbency. Today, successful loss management is about preventing not only financial and physical losses, but also reputational losses, customer dissatisfaction, and regulatory penalties.

Most BFSI organizations find it increasingly difficult to anticipate and prevent losses, or control their impact if they do occur. Major bottlenecks lie in integrating loss management processes, mapping them to business lines and events, and gaining top-level visibility into loss data across multiple disparate business units and risk parameters. In this webinar, Patricia Jalleh, Executive Director at RiskBusiness International will join Cedric Merahi, Risk Management Specialist at MetricStream, to discuss ways to understand and mitigate the effects of operational losses.

The two speakers will provide insights into:

  • The importance of loss management
  • Critical success factors for managing loss events
  • Integrating loss management and operational risk management
  • The role of technology in managing and mitigating losses
