Number of Retail and Consumer organizations increasingly believe that the current approach to managing social compliance, supplier facility audits and monitoring programs lacks efficiency and is not sustainable in the long run. Even though compliance monitoring and audits have helped improve transparency and visibility in the supply-chain and factory conditions, they are neither able to find the root cause of these problems nor change the fundamental problems causing violations.

Recurring incidents on child labor, wages, unsafe working conditions, emission levels and waste treatment are a proof that compliance monitoring and audits are not enough. A new approach that increases the supplier ownership of the social compliance program is required.

Organizations are adopting various ways to increase supplier ownership and collaboration, involve various stakeholders including factory workers for self-assessments to identify root causes, implement corrective and preventive actions and make them responsible for compliance itself. There are multiple benefits to this approach.

Join this webinar that will talk about how to create a sustainable social compliance program by increasing supplier ownership, and various solutions available to facilitate the same.

Key discussion points:

  • How to increase supplier involvement and ownership
  • Setting up audit scope: social and fair labor, environmental, workplace health and safety
  • Developing management system assessments to understand root cause
  • Managing Vendor Compliance program
  • Building an approach for Sustainability
  • Brand Collaboration to share results
