Why Should You Attend:

Product quality and safety issues in global supply chains, increasing regulations (GPSD, CPSC, CPSIA, CA Prop. 65, CPSA, Toy Safety Directive, ISO, IEC, REACH etc.), multiple quality and safety standards, rising recalls, adverse impact of social media and costly penalties are some of the challenges consumer product companies are facing.

An effective product safety and compliance program should comprise of multiple elements like product information management, design hazard risk management, process control audits, compliance validation, testing and certification etc. To achieve desired objectives organizations need to identify, integrate and automate these elements. Additionally, organizations need to enable visibility across the entire supply chain from material sourcing and manufacturing to distribution and retail, and finally to the end consumer to ensure product traceability.

Join Joan Mattson, President of International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO), and an independent product safety consultant specializing in process and regulatory compliance and Keri Dawson, Vice President of ComplianceOnline Advisory Services at MetricStream.

Key Discussion Points are:

  • Product Safety and Compliance Program elements and how to effectively integrate them - policy, risk, audit, compliance etc.
  • Identifying and managing compliance with multiple regulations
  • Managing the right amount of product information with the right data set - restricted substances lists (RSLs), sample testing, audits, issues etc.
  • Effective product integrity management - material and finished goods testing
  • Collaborating with suppliers to proactively identify issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Tracking and reporting Vendor Performance
