Thank you for the webinar, excellent information. If a patient has a healthcare provider's cell phone and texts a question about his or her health status, does this automatically confer consent to utilize the text messaging feature as a means of communication? Many providers give their cell phones to patients for after hours concerns. I understand utilizing a secure messaging app like Signal will enhance privacy, but my question is inferred permission to communicate this way. Thank you.
