Mr. Heim is a BEAC-Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) with more than 27 years of experience conducting more than 500 environmental compliance audits/assessments globally. He began working in the conflict minerals area in 2010 as one of the original three audit firms for the EICC/GeSI Conflict Free Smelter (CFS) program. Since then, he has been providing program advisory support to clients and trade associations on conflict minerals programs and was the only consultant selected by the US Securities and Exchange Commission as an expert panelist on HSES auditing in their October 2011 Conflict Minerals Roundtable. He is currently working with a number of clients on the strategy, design and implementation of their programs and is a frequent speaker on the topic.
