Mark A. Seybold has 32 years of experience in the field of sterilization. He is currently the President of Seybold & Associates consulting, with a focus on pharmaceutical and medical device companies. He was employed at Baxter Healthcare for 30 years and held the position of Sr. Manager of Sterility Assurance. His areas of expertise include radiation, ethylene oxide, and moist heat sterilization. He has served as a member of various sterilization working groups in the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and has contributed to the development of standards in the areas of radiation sterilization, ethylene oxide sterilization, and microbiological methods. He has authored a chapter on radiation sterilization in 2 different publications. Mr. Seybold has B.S. in Microbiology and an MBA from Indiana University. He has served as an instructor for the “Microbiology and Engineering of Sterilization Processes” course offered by Dr. Irving J. Pflug.
