Why Should You Attend:
Recent federally-adopted requirements mandate the declaration of major food allergens, as defined by FALCPA. Despite the implementation of these regulations in 2006, the failure to properly disclose major food allergens in product labeling have resulted in a significant number of warning letters and recalls in recent years. This webinar is designed for food manufacturers and labelers, including those in the dietary supplement industry to aid both domestic and foreign entities in ensuring compliance with the regulations requiring disclosure of major food allergens.
The webinar will cover the requirements of FALCPA and will detail the situations where this information must be disclosed, explain how to properly list major food allergens, and highlight the exceptions to these labeling requirements In addition, this session will explain the implications of non-compliance with FALCPA and accompanying regulations, particularly in light of the Food Safety Modernization Act (“FSMA”).
At the end of this session, the speaker will handle your specific questions and address any challenges you have/had in food allergen labeling.
