Course Description:

This 2-day seminar is designed to assist companies that import commercial shipments into the United States to better understand their obligations to take reasonable care in conducting business with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other government agencies. The Customs Modernization Act has placed responsibility on the importer for proper entry, classification, valuation, and marking of imported merchandise. Bonus Materials:
Each attendee will receive the 2015 Edition reference book titled "Import Documentation and Procedures" by Jan Seal; and workshop materials (valued up to $79).

This seminar will help companies in understanding the General Rules of Interpretation to classify their products to determine admissibility and proper duties, taxes, or other fees. The regulations covering the methods of valuation of merchandise are covered so goods can be entered under the correct amount with proper additions or deductions. plus many more topics as listed in the agenda.
