Why Should You Attend:

Economic forces have led to heightened governmental enforcement as state and federal government agencies look to audit businesses in hopes of issuing fines and collecting taxes. Classifying individuals who provide services to your business is a complicated task. The financial and legal penalties for misclassifying individuals can be significant. Due to the same economic forces, the number of workers not on employers’ payrolls has increased, classifying workers as independent contractors, interns, or other members of the Invisible Workforce.

This online training will familiarize organizations with the many factors federal and state governments use to determine independent contractor status and when an “intern” is actually an intern. Through this webinar, employers, and those who advise them, will be able to navigate the complexities of these classifications and understand its consequences.
