Instructor Profile:

Gurkan Suzer is the CEO of Trelodex Inc, an international trade and consultancy company, after serving in the Office of the Commercial Attaché of Turkish Consulate in Los Angeles. He is also founder and CEO of the Western American and Turkish Chamber of Commerce that aims to increase mutual trade relations between Turkey and USA.

He has participated in meetings and given speeches on developing export capacity of US firms in different occasions organized by world trade centers, chambers of commerce and universities.

Mr. Suzer served as a commercial consul in Moscow for 3 years and in Los Angeles for 4 years. He has participated in meetings hosted by international organizations like EU, OECD and WTO. He was head of department of exhibition permits and aids before his assignment to Los Angeles where he managed a staff of more than 100 in 13 regions and 10 high level specialists in the headquarters of Ministry of Economy.

He has experience in export processes and private public partnership projects and has worked on strategic plan studies in different sectors like chemicals, electronics, ceramics, etc. He studied transportation engineering and gained his MSc and PhD degrees in optimization techniques and has developed unique knowledge on logistics and international trade subjects.
