Consider the convergence of factora that are about to occur in the United States. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 40 percent of people entering the workforce from 1998 to 2008 will be members of minority groups. The number of women in the workforce is increasing at a faster rate than men; in fact, they will make up 48 percent of the workforce by 2010.

Persons with disabilities will make up an increasing portion of the labor force. Instructor Profile:

Dr. Jarik E. Conrad, SPHR, is the president of the Conrad Consulting Group, LLC. He has broad experience across a number of industries that include transportation, retail, food and beverage, financial services, sports, chemicals, aerospace, and nonprofit organizations. He has held several senior positions in human resources and general management in those industries including Director of Human Resources at CSX Technology and Chief Administrative Officer and Sr. Vice President at the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce. He has been an adjunct professor at Jacksonville University and still teaches regularly in the department of continuing education at the University of North Florida. He is featured in the book The Masters of Success along with Ken Blanchard, Jack Canfield and several other notable authors.

Dr. Conrad received his Doctor of Education degree from University of North Florida. He graduated with a B.A. from the University of Illinois. He also holds an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and an M.I.L.R. from the Graduate School of Industrial & Labor Relations at Cornell University. Jarik is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a professional speaker and member of the National Speakers Association (NSA).
