Instructor Profile:

Joe Lynch is the founder of The Logistics of Logistics, a logistics training and consulting firm. He specializes in helping logistics and transportation companies grow their sales. He also works with manufacturers, retailers, distributors and wholesalers to select and manage their logistics providers (3PLs, brokers, carriers, etc.).

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) contains the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP). The FSVP requires importers to take steps to ensure that imported human and animal food is as safe as what is produced domestically. The FSVP provisions include: annual onsite audits of supplier’s facility, sampling and testing and review of relevant food safety records.
